[Kissing? GROSS. But Rhade is totally okayed for touching. Rinzler's even left his door unlocked. And is waiting for Rhade with what passes for barely contained excitement, in a Rinzler.]

[Rhade knocks on Rinzler's door, already smirking a little. He's smiling a little easier, having wondered a lot what would eventually become of Rinzler and now he can at least see him well. He had missed him when he left; it's one of the decisions that led to him leaving the ship the first time.]

"Enter."

Rhade's one of the people for whom Rinzler is glad to spare a vocal response. And the Nietzschean is in for a surprise, since Rinzler's going to hug him first.

...It's a very ginger hug. But a hug nonetheless. Guess who missed Rhade just as much as Rhade missed him.

He gave Rinzler a sturdy hug back around the shoulders, less ginger, but surprised that he initiated it.

"It's good to see you're well." He'd actually been very concerned with Rinzler's ultimate destiny; he hadn't had good luck with friends and fate, so what he said was an understatement.

"Yes. You--also." The program inclines his head, taking a long look at Rhade without making any pretense of hiding it.

"You were--missed." Time away from the Barge had been good for Rinzler. Discovering that he was capable of being lonely--not so good.

[spam] Always be awkward but at least relevant.

"I went home for a while, myself." Though his went well. He had Braxiatel, a daughter, a new life. Returning to the Barge had been a debt of honor rather than a necessity. In this brief moment, when he could see his friend and know that he wasn't random useless data, he was a little glad for it.

"Why are you here?" He decided to ask outright, stepping inside to have a look around Rinzler's room.

He steps back as Rhade joins him inside, indicating some of the spare Grid-style furniture with a simple gesture. The far wall, where a window might ordinarily be, is taken up entirely with a view of the Grid's Outlands in the midst of a storm.

It's still quite dark, but not so much as it was now that the walls have proper dataflows.

"No purpose. No--place for me." The Grid was Tron's remit. Rinzler was superfluous, at best.

"I can understand that." Where Rhade, the future belonged to Telemachus. So Rhade was honor bound not to go join Dylan there. Telemachus didn't need him sullying up the good name he'd had to build against his ancestor's bad one, and though Dylan promised to share the truth about Gaheris's actions, he knew that up until that first betrayal he had been working against the Commonwealth.

It was just another example of finding it easy to identify with Rinzler. "Then I'll simply be glad I'll have someone I can share new games with." He had a seat in one of the strange chairs.

"Would you ever consider becoming the avatar of a ship? I believe you would be a good one."

Rinzler's circuits brighten visibly at the mention of games; it hadn't just been lonely on the fringes of Tron's Grid, but he hadn't had anyone to play with, either, except for the occasional panicked stray who wanted nothing to do with (what might have been) a dangerous Grid-ghost. "Good. Is--best approach."

He takes a seat within arm's reach of Rhade, comfortable enough with the Nietzschean to let a little of his perpetual guard down. And--cocks his head a little to one side, curious at this line of questioning.

"Your ship?" Pause. "Yes. Regardless. Would be--new experience."

"There are many ships with AIs in my universe. But I think you would work well for one without a representative AI." And Rhade didn't like the idea of Rinzler being "useless" in any capacity. The proximity was silently appreciated.

"At least it's an option."
